This feature is currently supported with native iOS apps only.

You can send an App Catalog user a "deep link" that points to the Info page for a specific native iOS app in the App Catalog. This is an efficient way to provide the user with quick access to the intended app. The user simply needs to copy the link into the address bar of a browser window to automatically open the App Catalog to the Info page for the app. From there the user can click the Install button. If the user does not have permission to access the app specified by the link, the My Apps list is displayed instead. If the user is not already logged in to the App Catalog when pointing to the link, the user will be prompted to log in before the Info page is displayed.

A user must already have the App Catalog installed on the device in order for the link to work. If the user does not have the App Catalog installed, the user receives an error that the page cannot be opened.

The following figure shows a link that opens the Info page for a Training app.

  1. On the EASE Portal navigation bar, click Applications.
  2. Click the Details link next to the native iOS application for which you wish to send the link.
  3. In the App Catalog Deep Link field, copy the link to your clipboard.

  4. Paste the link into an email message (or another form of communication) and send it to one or more App Catalog users along with directions about the action you want the user(s) to take.
