About Settings

The following table describes the settings you can view and modify for your EASE organization.

SettingDescription
Company InformationModify the support email address associated with the account. This is the address that will receive emails sent when a user clicks the Report Problem button in the App Catalog.
Invitation Message

Edit the content of the following messages sent to App Catalog users:

  • Invitation that invites new users to download the App Catalog
  • MDM Enrollment request sent when you enroll a user's device in MDM (Mobile Device Management).
Approval Workflow

Select an EASE user group for each of the approval process workflows you plan to use. When an approval workflow is in progress, users in the selected group are able to access the app in the App Catalog.

Device Registration NotificationSend an email to the support email address for the account when a new device is registered.
Device ManagementEnable or disable Mobile Device Manage (MDM) for the account. With MDM, you can monitor and secure your App Catalog users' devices.
TimezoneSet the time zone for reports.
Affiliated Organizations

Create, list, and manage organizations affiliated with your organization.

If this setting is not listed, the Affiliated Organizations feature is disabled for your organization. For more information, see Managing Affiliated Organizations.

Signing CredentialsStore signing credentials for EASE to use when signing applications.
Download App Catalog

View the URL for downloading the App Catalog.

AuthenticationSpecify the type of authentication that will be used when your users log in to the App Catalog.
User Self-RegistrationEnable users within your corporate domain to self-register for access to EASE. When a user self-registers, an EASE user account is automatically created for the user.
User Password RequirementsSet organization-wide password complexity requirements, and set the number of days after which a user's password will expire. For more information, see Set Password Requirements.
Corporate Email Profile

Configure the corporate email profile that users can run to set up a corporate email account on their devices.

If this setting is not listed, the Email Provisioning feature is disabled for your organization. For more information, see Email Provisioning.

Windows Configuration

Configure the folder in which Windows EXE files will be installed onto a user's Windows 8 device.

For more information, see Configure the Windows Installation Folder.

Remote ControlSet or change the App Remote Control passcode for your organization.
Policies Evaluation Frequency

Set the frequency at which an application's policies will be evaluated. The default is Always, which evaluates policies whenever the app is opened or brought to the foreground.

Custom Metadata Template

Add/modify a Custom Metadata Template for your organization to define the custom metadata fields that you and other administrators can specify when adding or editing an application through the EASE Portal.

By default, this option is not listed on the Settings page. To enable the Custom Metadata feature for your organization, contact Apperian Customer Support at support@apperian.com.
